Sport

At St Joseph's College, we offer a number of sporting opportunities for our students to participate in. At St Joseph’s College, students in Years 7–10 participate in a vibrant extra-curricular programme every Thursday afternoon, often training offsite to utilise the best indoor and outdoor training facilities in the area. These activities cater to a wide range of interests, including sport, theatre sports (arts and performance), hospitality, e-sports, and chess. Students involved in sporting teams proudly represent the College in CCS Gala Day competitions.

Our Year 5 and 6 students also take part in Catholic Schools Gala Day events, held once each term, with dedicated training sessions every Friday afternoon. These opportunities foster teamwork, creativity, and personal growth beyond the classroom.

Representative Sport Pathways at St Joseph’s College (SJC)
At St Joseph’s College, we are proud to offer a wide range of sporting opportunities that allow students to develop their skills, represent the College, and progress through recognised pathways to district, regional, state, and even national levels. Our goal is to nurture talent, encourage participation, and provide clear pathways for students who aspire to compete at higher levels in their chosen sport.

    3. South Coast Regionals – Progress to regional trials and make the South Coast team.
    4. Queensland State Championships – Compete at state level and make the Queensland team.
    5. National Representation – Represent Australia at a national championship.
